Accessibility

GoalMM is built to adapt to the learner — not the other way around. Accessibility isn't a feature we bolted on; it's how the product is meant to work.

Our goal

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the app. We are not there on every surface yet, and we do not claim a formal, independently-audited conformance — see “Where we are” below.

Ways the app adapts to you

  • Read-aloud, with the words shown on screen
  • An easy-to-read font and comfortable spacing (“Reading support”)
  • Captions, and an optional transcript, on video
  • Sign-supported video where it is available
  • Pictures and symbols alongside the words
  • Plain, simple language
  • Higher contrast and reduced motion
  • Works with touch, keyboard, switch, and AAC patterns
  • A calm screen you can pause at any moment

How we check our work

Every change runs through an automated accessibility check (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 A/AA) across the app's main surfaces before it can ship — including color contrast and interactive states. Automated checks can't catch everything, so we keep designing for real assistive technology, not only the rules.

Where we are (an honest account)

  • Automated WCAG 2.2 A/AA checks run on every change.
  • We have not yet had an independent, third-party audit, and we don't claim full conformance.
  • Some surfaces are still in progress, and hands-on assistive-technology testing (screen reader, switch, AAC) is ongoing.

Tell us about a barrier

If something is hard to use or read, that's ours to fix, not yours. Ask a grown-up to email us at accessibility@goalmm.org and tell us what got in the way.
